YOUR SOUND HEALING TRAINING JOURNEY STARTS HERE...
A luxurious, in-person CMA-accredited practitioner training in The New Forest for those called to work deeply with sound, ceremony and ethical space-holding.
Held over two moon-aligned weekends, this intimate 8-week container begins with a pre-New Moon intention-setting practice and continues through experiential learning, self-reflection, practice and ongoing assessment.
Throughout the course, every detail has been thoughtfully taken care of so you can relax, feel deeply supported, and fully immerse yourself in the learning.

You’ll be welcomed into a beautiful, nourishing space with writing materials, flower essences, essential oils, crystals, fresh flowers, ceremonial cacao, and organic plant-based food, all chosen to support your learning, your senses, and your own inner process.

A central part of this training is the opportunity to work with Alchemy In The New Forest’s extensive sound collection, carefully curated from our travels around the world. This includes planetary and elemental gongs, Alchemy Crystal Bowls, 432 Hz crystal bowls, Tibetan bowls, crystal harp, drums, shruti box, monochord, flute, harp bed, quartz pyramid, chimes, bells, rain stick, tuning forks and more. Students are invited to explore the instruments through deep listening, hands-on practice and guided facilitation, developing an embodied understanding of how to create beautiful, safe and intentional sound experiences and ceremonies.
You will also be guided in how to begin setting up your own practice, with practical support around marketing, confidence, pricing and sharing your work.

KEY COURSE MODULES COVERED:

Foundations of sound healing, resonance, vibration and deep listening.

Working with gongs, crystal bowls, Tibetan bowls, rhythm, chimes and other therapeutic sound instruments.

Creating and sequencing a sound bath with confidence, sensitivity and flow.

Ceremony, ritual, cacao, water ceremony, altar work and intention setting.

Moon-aligned practice, including New Moon intention setting and Full Moon initiation.

Art therapy tools, reflective practice, journaling and creative process.

Nature-based practice and working with the land as part of the therapeutic container.

Ethical space-holding, boundaries, consent, contraindications and client safety.

Self-awareness, practitioner presence and the inner work of holding space.

Assessment, case studies, reflective diary, essay and final exam preparation.

YOUR TRAINERS
The training is led by Fiona Penfold, founder of Alchemy In The New Forest, sound therapist, space-holder and experienced therapeutic practitioner. Fiona brings together her background in counselling, art therapy, environmental art therapy, sound healing, ceremony and years of holding groups, retreats and sound baths to offer a training that is grounded, beautiful and deeply considered.

SEPTEMBER COHORT DATES & COMMITMENTS
Our September cohort will be held over two weekends:

Weekend One: A New Moon weekend of intention, beginning and initiation. Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th September 2026

Weekend Two: A Full Moon weekend of embodiment, expression and integration. Saturday 26th & Sunday 27th September 2026
***Attendance is required for both weekends.
The training container continues until 24 October with independent study, during which students complete 30 hours of play and practice, 6 case studies, a reflective diary, reflective essay, ongoing assessment of skills, a First Aid Course and a final exam.
On successful completion of all course requirements and assessment criteria, students will receive a CMA-accredited certificate, enabling them to apply for practitioner insurance and begin practising professionally within the scope of their training.
